Dear Innkeeper Elizabeth: I want to take a minute to share how delighted we are to have "discovered" NorthShore Cottages. This is definitely an overdue escape from the everyday responsibilities and distractions that can pull you far away from nature and those things that are meant to be pedestaled in life. I believe it is only in places like these that you can take time out to rediscover the reasons you live and have committed/given yourself freely to your mate, letting the wind blow away the "dust" that has settled on their souls, such to see them again in all their radiance. I want to compliment your taste in decorating, all the treasures you have gathered. I admire your decision to live and raise your family in this quiet and breathtaking little corner of the world you call home. What I will value most of our time spent here, within this fairy-tale-come-true cottage called Orca Watch, is the chance we have had to look softly into each others' eyes, to listen to the words that flow from within, and those feelings of be "heard and understood" without interruption. I credit much of that to these hospitable, comfortable, and isolated accommodations. We have felt as though this was the home of a long lost friend or distant family member who has graciously shared their treasures with us. We will warmly remember and truly miss the smell of salt in the wind, the sound of water playing on the rocks below, the scented steam from a Sleepy Otter Sauna, and the sight of the earth from a stone tower. Thank God for memories of Orcas Island. And thank you for Orca Watch. With gratitude,
